About Credit

Fortress’s Credit business was launched in 2002. Today, the Fortress Credit team consists of over 525 professionals and is focused on investing globally, primarily in undervalued assets and distressed and illiquid credit investments. The investment team has a long and established track record investing throughout a number of credit and distressed cycles around the world. With over 130 professionals dedicated to asset management in 11 office locations worldwide, the Fortress Credit team also has the experience and expertise to manage and service assets with operational complexity.


About the Reporting and Data Management Team

  • Formed with the objective of centralizing reporting-related functions across the Credit business.
  • Developed and implemented a streamlined and scalable platform to support a large, diverse business that continues to evolve and grow at a rapid pace.
  • Uses a data-first approach with an emphasis on quality and management combined with the strategic utilization of various reporting tools ranging from Excel to BI tools like Power BI and Tableau to more advanced RPA solutions.
  • Team members have diverse backgrounds and are knowledgeable in a variety of industry related topics, including fund structures, investment products, valuations, and various return calculations.


Responsibilities:

  • Produce a variety of deliverables for management, investors, and regulators, including but not limited to:
  • Monthly and quarterly investor letters
  • Annual investor presentations
  • Senior management business line reporting and analysis
  • Investor information request templates
  • Historical and projected track records for various funds and products
  • Materials for marketing and fundraising efforts
  • Regulatory filings such as Form PF, ADV, and CPO
  • Evaluate both new and legacy deliverables to identify possible areas of improvement
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to fulfill various management and deal teams’ requests
  • Monitor and address data quality issues proactively to avoid issues or inaccuracies in the end products
  • Assist in the creation and/or maintenance of Power BI and Tableau dashboards, RPA bots, or other strategic technology tools
  • Regularly interact with various departments throughout the firm,  including Accounting, Client service and sales teams, Technology, Valuations, Asset Management, and others


Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience preferred 
  • Understanding of investment products and private equity/hedge funds
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and effectively manage time
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to think critically to evaluate, modify, and design effective processes
  • Experience working with and analyzing fund and portfolio data is a plus
The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $110,000.

The base salary range proposed for this role has been set forth to comply with local law, but salary is only one element of the total compensation for this role. The base salary range suggested above does not include compensation elements such as bonuses, overtime and deferred cash (each of which are applicable in certain roles), benefits, perquisites, and company contributions to employee 401(k) accounts. Such other pay components often result in total compensation materially exceeding base salary for a particular role. Total compensation as well as base salary for a role depend in part upon individual performance, years of service, experience, geographic considerations, the performance and the needs of particular business units, company performance, and general market conditions.
