Description

The Strategy Senior Analyst / Associate will be a member of the Real Estate Equity team at Fortress and support the Real Estate COO’s team in strategic projects, fund operations, investor reporting materials, and various capital markets activities. This position will have exposure to all areas of the firm and various global offices, notably Japan. This position will be responsible for internal and external presentations – investor letters, ad hoc reporting, debt and equity pitch decks, PPMs, etc. This role will be shaped by the candidate's ability to handle multiple projects spanning a diverse range of specialties. Critical thinking, organization skills, and intellectual curiosity are keys to success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Fortress’s Asset/Portfolio Management, Accounting, Treasury/Operations, Capital Formation Group, and Acquisitions teams to achieve various fund objectives
  • Assist in investor reporting, such as investor decks and quarterly letters
  • Creation of external capital raising presentations
  • Assist on large scale equity and debt capital raises by managing process to ensure team remains on target
  • Craft marketing strategies to tie together our various global investment strategies
  • Run internal consulting project analysis; assist the team in synthesizing takeaways from these projects into clear takeaways and tangible recommendations

·        Assist on fund-level operating activities including the preparation of capital call and distribution process, FX hedging analyses, and providing analyses and recommended actions where necessary

  • Work on internal requests, investor requests, and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Real Estate COO

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience from a top-tier investment banking and/or private equity firm; consulting experience is a plus
  • Minimum 3.6 GPA from a top-tier school
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, and Word)
  • Background in real estate and finance is a plus
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics
  • Success developing and sustaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $95,000 and $125,000.

The base salary range proposed for this role has been set forth to comply with local law, but salary is only one element of the total compensation for this role. The base salary range suggested above does not include compensation elements such as bonuses, overtime and deferred cash (each of which are applicable in certain roles), benefits, perquisites, and company contributions to employee 401(k) accounts. Such other pay components often result in total compensation materially exceeding base salary for a particular role. Total compensation as well as base salary for a role depend in part upon individual performance, years of service, experience, geographic considerations, the performance and the needs of particular business units, company performance, and general market conditions.
