The Rome office has an opening for an Analyst in the investment team. Due to the collaborative nature of the Global team, broad investment mandate, and flat hierarchy, the position offers significant growth and advancement opportunity.
Responsibilities
Analyst / Associate, NPL Team
* Perform comprehensive analysis of non-performing loans (NPLs) to assess risk, value, and potential return on investment.
* Underwrite NPLs by evaluating borrower financials, collateral, and market conditions to determine appropriate pricing and investment viability.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support the underwriting process and forecast potential performance of NPL investments.
* Conduct market research to inform underwriting decisions and stay abreast of industry trends and economic factors affecting NPLs.
* Assist in the management and optimization of NPL portfolios, ensuring effective strategies are implemented to maximize recovery and returns.
* Support the development and execution of asset management strategies for NPLs, including workout and resolution plans.
* Monitor the performance of NPL assets, providing regular updates and recommendations for enhancing asset value and recovery rates.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, legal advisors, and service providers, to facilitate the management and disposition of NPL assets.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 3-5 years of experience
* An undergraduate degree with grades demonstrating high academic performance.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Fluent in Italian and English languages
* Effective stakeholder management skills
* The ability to provide resourceful solutions with strong analytical skills, creativity and logical thinking.
* Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Good commercial awareness with broad market knowledge.
* The ability to work independently in a demanding environment.
