About the Position
The Senior Analyst / Associate will support the Fortress COO in strategic projects, fund operations, investor reporting materials, and various capital markets activities. This position will have exposure to all areas of the firm. This position will be responsible for internal and external presentations – investor letters, ad hoc reporting, fund and portfolio analytics, etc. This role will be shaped by the candidate's ability to handle multiple projects spanning a diverse range of specialties. Critical thinking, organization skills, and intellectual curiosity are keys to success.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Fortress’s Asset Management, Accounting, Treasury/Operations, Reporting, Capital Formation Group, and Investment teams to achieve various fund objectives
- Assist in fund and portfolio management, including thorough understanding of details behind the assets and cash flows within each fund
- Assist on fund-level operating activities including providing analyses and recommended actions where necessary with respect to calls and distributions
- Participate in the preparation of annual investor conference materials
- Assist in investor reporting, such as investor decks, quarterly letters and any ad hoc analysis
- Work on internal requests, investor requests, and ad hoc projects as assigned by the COO
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience from a top-tier investment banking, private equity or consulting firm is a plus
- Minimum 3.6 GPA from a top-tier school
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, and Word)
- Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Unquestionable integrity and ethics
- Success developing and sustaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues
