About the Position
The Analyst / Associate will assist in the evaluation of investments across the capital structure including control and non-control equity, debt and hybrid investments across industries utilizing a flexible approach to capital solutions. Our approach is industry agnostic given our broad industry intel across the firm.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate equity and credit investment opportunities
- Perform financial analysis, discounted cash flow and comparable transaction valuations, and building detailed operating models
- Conduct financial, business and industry diligence, including calls with industry experts
- Draft screening memos and investment committee presentations
- Perform ongoing asset management including valuation of existing portfolio investments, conducting calls with management teams to review financials and participating in board meetings in an observatory capacity
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
- 3+ years of experience as an Analyst or first year Associate at an investment bank or buy-side institution (private equity and/or credit fund)
- Advanced Excel skills, excellent modeling and financial valuation skills
- A proven self-starter with excellent organizational skills, who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is capable of delivering exceptional work product under unforgiving time constraints
- Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills
