About Credit
Fortress’s Credit business was launched in 2002 by Pete Briger. Today, the Fortress Credit team consists of over 500 professionals and is focused on investing globally, primarily in undervalued assets and distressed and illiquid credit investments. With over 100 professionals dedicated to asset management in 14 geographic locations, the Fortress Credit team also has the experience and expertise to manage and service assets with operational complexity.
About the Position
The candidate will assist in a broad range of key workstreams in the Corporate Securities business line, including trading/execution, business and portfolio analysis, and working with internal IT and reporting to implement and leverage technology initiatives for the benefit of the business line. The candidate will report to a Managing Director in the Dallas office and work with a team of experienced traders and investment professionals in Dallas, New York and San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Assist the trading team executing trades across HY bonds, loans, and associated products
- Create and manage various portfolio and business line analysis and reports related to business line activity/PNL, portfolio composition and allocation, track records, pipelines, and dashboards
- Work with trading team to analyze and optimize CLO portfolios via reporting, trading plans, and trade execution
- Coordinating with internal and external IT, accounting and reporting groups to implement new systems, data and reporting technology and create accretive analysis and reporting capabilities for the benefit of the group
- Perform ad hoc analysis on business line / fund performance for fundraising requests, senior management meetings and conferences
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- 2+ years of experience in financial services
- Experience, or working knowledge of OTC fixed income markets/trading
- Background in accounting, ops, reporting or the like, analytical mindset required
- Strong proficiency with data analytics and the ability to think critically in the context of the business line and/or product
- Exceptional MS Excel skills, strong proficient in Powerpoint, working knowledge of Salesforce and Wall Street Office a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail with high standards for precision
- Must be internally motivated and growth oriented with exceptional work ethic
