We are looking for an exceptional analyst to join our expanding Structured Products team.  The Fund will invest long and short throughout the capital structure through a disciplined, bottoms-up, and credit fundamentals investment process. The team will look to invest in securities and loans backed by residential and commercial real estate, corporate debt or asset receivables.

Responsibilities include:
Assist in analyzing new investment opportunities and asset managing existing positions
Create transaction analysis, summaries and investment memorandums for recommendations to the Investment Committee
Manipulate large quantities of loan and property level data received from third parties
Create and run valuations and models on CMBS and Commercial Real Estate transactions
Design and maintain monthly portfolio reports including collateral and deal performance, cashflows, pricing, liquidity and volatility
Test portfolio compliance and assist senior management in identifying suitable sale candidates and reinvestment opportunities
Review portfolio prices and work with broker-dealers and pricing groups to ensure fair valuations
Create and maintain databases to track market activity, trends and research

Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years of buy or sell-side experience, preferably in a Credit Fund or Wall Street Bank working in Commercial Real Estate on the debt or equity side
Additional experience in a rigorous, analytical role in sell-side research, investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or at a leading firm in industry
Excellent undergraduate academic degree in an analytical discipline (e.g., computer science, statistics, engineering or a related field)
Strong work ethic, business judgment, and commercial instincts

Skills required:
Knowledge of Bloomberg, Trepp or Intex and its functions
Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Excel
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience in financial modeling and projecting cash flows
Strong grasp of capital structures
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and thoroughness
Self-Motivated with the ability to work off of general instructions while producing a thorough end-product which has been expanded upon the candidate’s own ideas
