Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Fund (“FTAI” or the “Company”) is a $1 billion private equity fund which focuses on purchasing assets that are essential to the transport of goods and people globally. FTAI’s business strategy includes acquiring assets for lease to major operators of transportation and infrastructure networks, as well as acquiring controlling and non-controlling equity stakes in operating companies within the transportation industry. FTAI invests in various sectors within the transportation industry including aviation, energy, intermodal and rail, with the goal of generating 15-20% gross returns while using modest leverage.
About the Position
This position is responsible for supporting the asset management department of the FTAI Aviation business. This person will be a key member in ensuring customer accounts are managed appropriately and according to company policy. This individual will be responsible for communicating with lessees in order to increase the percentage of successful repayments.
Ensure timely collection of payments, including the management and administration of customer accounts, customer reconciliations and assistance with the direction of cash application
Monitor processing of invoices and understand the contractual obligations of lease agreements
Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful collections on delinquent accounts
Strong customer service/relations skills for a global customer base
Negotiate with clients in non-payment cases
Responds promptly to customer inquiries
Ability to collect data and relevant facts to communicate problems
Special Projects include focusing on process improvement and company policy making as required
Assist in the design and implementation systems to ensure processes are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Must have an outstanding record of achievement including an undergraduate degree from a well-respected school.
Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Finance (preferred), Accounting or other technical/mathematical discipline (with relevant business experience) strongly preferred.
Minimum four years of relevant experience with at least two years at corporate level.
Proven work experience as an accounts receivable manager
Airline industry field experience preferred but not required.
Prior experience in a start-up company environment or enterprise-wide transformation a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Previous experience and proficiency with Microsoft NAV, and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with complex details and high attention to detail
Strong track record of delivering accurate, timely information and reports, with careful eye for detail.
Superior analytical, quantitative and communication (both oral and written) skills.
Must have strong drive and initiative with ability to balance multiple tasks.
